Luxury home accessories and soft furnishings business, Gemma Packham Interiors in Kendal, has moved from its town centre shop to a brand-new showroom on Shap Road. Along with the move, the business has introduced its new brand, Inkwood Interiors. The new space showcases an eclectic mix of opulent fabrics, stylish lighting and home accessories, all by a range of leading British and International brands.
A business with a 25 year history in the local area, Inkwood Interiors started in the early 1980s as ‘Linen Stop’, a store located in Kendal town centre specialising in curtains and other window dressings. Fast forward to 2023, our existing loyal customers can expect the same quality service in a new location with a vastly greater product range.
Inkwood Interiors offers bespoke and made to measure services to help customers achieve their interiors inspiration, whether that is by making a simple pair of curtains or redesigning a room for an exciting new look. The experienced team pride themselves on quality and design, and specialises in many projects from domestic, hotel, restaurants, holiday homes, golf courses and schools.

Gemma
OWNER
Gemma is the owner and has been part of the business for over 25 years. She has been running Inkwood Interiors (formerly Gemma Packham Interiors) since 2015. With a passion for colour and soft furnishings, Gemma has grown the offering of bespoke interiors, from our little shop on Stricklandgate to our new spacious showroom on Shap Road. When Gemma isn’t busy working away, you might just find her out enjoying a kayak in the Lakes!
Stacey
MANAGER
With over a decade of experience at Inkwood, Stacey brings extensive knowledge of the interiors industry. She is passionate about realising customers' stylistic visions for their homes and commercial spaces. In her free time Stacey particularly enjoys baking.
Catherine
INTERIORS ADVISOR & BESPOKE PROJECT CO-ORDINATOR
Catherine works in our retail admin department and looks after our Cumbria Life editorials. When she’s not working, you’ll find her enjoying a nice walk or baking.
Helen
INTERIORS ADVISOR & ACCOUNTS/OFFICE MANAGER
Helen works in our office admin and retail area helping customers complete their dream bespoke interiors projects. When she’s not working, you’ll find her practising some upholstery or walking her dog, Glenn.
